7th Grade Wetsel STEM Submits Video for White House Film Festival

Below is the video Wetsel Middle School 7th graders made about the importance of giving back to the community and the power of leadership under the guidance of STEM teacher Tori Gelbert.

Our students are impressive in this video – certainly, passion resonates.   I am touched by their desire to make the world a better place and am thankful of an important message.  Today’s children will be the next leaders – we must nurture their passion.  –  Superintendent Matt Eberhardt

This submission goes to the White House Film Festival this year where the top national video receives a trip to the White House.

We at MCPS can change a life every day which in turn will change another life and eventually we can change the world. My message to our leadership team is … we must forge ahead together …  we all have a common goal – changing lives every day. – Principal Tim Taylor
