Friday, April 10, 2015 was Senior Leadership Day.
The division-wide program began in 2011 as a way for high school seniors to assume the roles of faculty and staff across the division. Students select schools and positions like 3rd grade teacher, middle school assistant principal, high school math teacher, or central office director.
This year, Thomas Shifflett, was selected to serve as student superintendent of schools. During the day, Thomas will approve monthly bills, review capital improvement projects and approve financing of partial HVAC, develop the division Leadership agenda, work with personnel, hold staff meetings, and visit schools.
“Having fun. This is awesome!” – Superintendent Shifflett
