On Wednesday, November 30th Waverly’s third grade students were invited to travel to West Africa with Anansegromma of Ghana (Ambassadors of West African Culture). Talented storytellers and native Ghanaians Kofi Dennis and Kwame Ansah Brew, shared traditions of their heritage through games, music, drumming, and dance. They were absolutely amazing and kept our students actively involved with audience participation. The program was exhilarating and memorable for all of our students and teachers! Their energetic presentation ended with many of our students joining the stage as drummers, musicians, and as the King and Queen of Ghana. A huge thanks to the Fields Family and Josh’s Class for making this unforgettable experience a reality for our kids!
