MCHS Class of 2017 Graduation Information

Madison County High School will celebrate our seniors this year on May 19, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. The graduation ceremony will take place at the Wetsel Gymnasium
The evening of graduation: Graduates are to arrive at MCHS no later than 6:10 p.m. and check in at the table in the hallway outside of Guidance. They will be directed to a room where they wait to process. No one other than graduates and staff will be permitted beyond the check-in table.

Dress: Graduates are expected to dress appropriately. This means a collared shirt and dress slacks for the guys. And girls may wear sundresses or other appropriate attire. No flip flops, jeans, shorts, work boots or t-shirts–will not be permitted to walk if not dressed in required attire.

Tickets: Tickets are free and handed out to graduates at practice. They will be receiving 7 graduation tickets for the Wetsel Gymnasium and 3 tickets for the MCHS Auditorium during practice.  Small children/infants count as a ticket—this is due to fire code.  If you need additional tickets, you should first ask friends and other classmates for any extras that they may have.  If there are any extra tickets, we will divide them equally after graduation practice among those that still need tickets.  There is no guarantee that there will be extra tickets. There is no cost to attend the ceremony.
There will be no extra tickets available after May 18.

Handicap parking: Handicap drop-off is out front of the Wetsel cafeteria. The doors open at 5:45 pm for our handicapped guests and 6 pm for everyone else.

Meeting your Graduate: We ask the Class of 2017 to leave the gym and walk to the front lawn of the school to meet their parents. This will help limit congestion in the parking lot and give a nicer background for pictures.
