Two MCHS Seniors Recognized at Annual Scholarship Celebration

Two Madison seniors were recognized among 11 outstanding graduates from nine school divisions.  Seniors Isaiah Breckenridge and Zach Gibson were honored at the Annual Scholarship Celebration of the 100 Black Men of Central Virginia (100BMCVA) on Saturday, May 13 in Charlottesville receiving a $1,000 scholarship.  Recognized for exemplary achievement, the Madison seniors were among the top 11 graduates from the counties of  Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange as well as the City of Charlottesville.  Celebrating Isaiah and Zack were Principal Gary Wintersgill and Assistant Principal Jeanette Alexander with the Madison County 100BMCVA representative Charles Lewis.

Superintendent Matt Eberhardt was recognized as the only superintendent who has attended seven years in a row.  Additionally, Madison, Albemarle, and Louisa counties were recognized for annual attendance since 2009.
