What is Project Discovery?
Provided and funded locally through Skyline CAP, Inc. Project Discovery is a FREE after school program for 9-12th grade students who are ready to get serious about college. Through weekly workshops, Project Discovery strives to help its students improve basic skills (communication, financial planning, goal setting, time management, etc.) while continuously stressing the importance of education. One of Project Discovery’s top goals is to assist students with the completion of applications for college and financial aid, as well as scholarships. By providing SAT and college application fee waivers coupled with the direct one on one attention of the program coordinator Project Discovery is able to help remove some of the obstacles preventing students from achieving their goals of a college education.

Workshops are held EVERY Wednesday afternoon in room 204 immediately after school until 4:30pm. All students are encouraged to fill out the online application and are invited to attend our next workshop--Make some new friends, grab a snack and learn something new!
Teachers, Staff, Counseling Intervention services and other outside agencies often ask how to refer students to the Project Discovery program. Now it’s easier than ever to refer a student to Project Discovery, simply use the Refer a Student form to submit a student referral directly to the program Coordinator. Parents are encouraged to use this form as well.
