Madison County Public School Division recognizes that each student is a unique individual with different abilities, interests, and learning styles. The goal of the Department of Special Services is to meet the individual needs of students identified with disabilities. In addition, we intend to provide these students with the information and resources they need in order to meet with achievement that is appropriate to their age and educational needs.
Madison County Public Schools supports the principles presented in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), as well as the Regulations Governing Special Education Programs for Children with Disabilities in Virginia.
