Waverly Yowell recently received a grant to construct a security vestibule in our main entrance foyer. We are excited that we are gaining an extra level of safety and security for our students and staff. While not all areas of the building will be affected, some areas will be directly impacted.
The following changes will be necessary:
The main entrance will be inaccessible. All students, staff, and visitors will enter and exit the building using the lower loop entrances.
Visitors should enter the building using the lower entrance located at the side of the building. Signs will indicate appropriate doors to use during this time.
Secretaries and our school nurse will be relocated to the lower suite, as you enter the building.
Bus dismissal and drop off procedures will remain unchanged during this construction.
If students/parents arrive after 8:20 am and before 3:00pm, all entrances should be made via the lower loop entrance.
The projected timeline for this project is seven to eight weeks. Construction will begin Monday, February 10th, 2020, as well as the changes listed above. While this work will cause adjustments to our daily routine, we are looking forward to the improvements in our building.
