Madison County School Board Announces - Superintendent Search
(October 10, 2017)—The Madison County School Board announced today that it will take the next step in the process of hiring a new superintendent by seeking public input on qualifications.
The school board has created a survey related to superintendent criteria, which is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MadisonSuptSearch and on the home page of the division web site. The survey opens on October 23. Hard copies of the survey will also be available at the school board administration offices, at each school, and at the county office building located at 414 N. Main Street and the county administrative building at 302 Thrift Road.
In addition to the survey, the board will hold a public hearing:
Date: November 13, 2017
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Madison County High School Auditorium
“Hiring a new superintendent is an important task for the school board and we encourage that the public participate in the process of determining qualifications for our next superintendent,” said School Board Chairman Barry Penn Hollar, “We hope that all community members will take time to fill out the online survey or attend the public hearing.”
The school board selected the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) to assist the board with the superintendent search.
