WYES 4-H Adventure Club Presents to MCPS School Board
On Monday, April 16, 2018 members of the Waverly Yowell Elementary School (WYES) 4-H Adventure Club shared their personal experiences of being part of the after school club. Topping the list of favorite adventures was the snow tubing trip to Massanutten and the Selfie Scavenger Hunt through the woods behind WYES. Jack Gordon shared how much he enjoys the team building exercises and Lexi Hamilton discussed the opportunities they've had to create bird feeders and tree cookie ornaments. Second grader, Tenly Knight proudly declared her favorite club meeting including a visit from her grandmother, Ann Dean. Ryleigh Gordon explained that Mrs. Dean shared her Watercolor Art, while Katie Gigliotti, WYES art teacher, led members through the steps to create their own paintings on canvas.
