As you may have learned from recent news reports, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is now approved for children ages 5-11.
On Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Virginia Department of Health will be coming to Waverly Yowell Elementary School to provide Pfizer vaccines from 9am to 11am. They will be providing the appropriate 5-11 formulation for children ages 5 to 11 and they will be offering the regular Pfizer dosage that has been approved since May 2021 for children ages 12 and up.
Parent and/or guardian consent and presence is required for students to be vaccinated at the school. This vaccine has no cost associated with it and there is no insurance information needed.
