Ms. Betty-Jo Wynham

Betty-Jo Wynham has served students in Madison, Culpeper, and Albemarle counties as a teacher and school leader. She began her career as a special education teacher at William Wetsel Middle School in 2007.  While teaching, she became increasingly interested in meaningful and engaging learning experiences for all students in high school classrooms.  As a teacher, Ms. Wynham also coached varsity volleyball and ledShe began leading efforts for tiered instruction at the secondary level at Eastern View High School, where she was selected as teacher of the year in 2013 and was promoted to assistant principal in 2014.  

While serving the students and families at Eastern View, she became increasingly interested in redesigning the high school learning experience and ensuring that all students could leave high school with a skill set to help them attain their future career goals. Through designing quality school-based professional learning initiatives and interweaving a meaningful school improvement plan, Wynham played a significant role in the performance improvement of all students at Eastern View on the state accountability assessments. Wynham has presented and led professional development for teachers and school administrators on school improvement, school-based professional learning plans, tiered instruction, co-teaching, specialized instruction for students with disabilities, and adolescent literacy across Virginia.  After serving four years on the administrative team at Eastern View High School, Wynham joined Albemarle High School as an assistant principal in 2018. 

Mrs. Wynham received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology and psychology from Randolph-Macon College. She received a Master of Arts in teaching with an emphasis in special education K-12 from Liberty University and a post-master’s school leadership and administration endorsement from George Washington University.  She began her principalship at Madison County High School on July 1, 2019 and resides in Madison with her two children, Josie Cate and Bryce who attend Madison County Public Schools.

Mr. Joe Kubricki

Mr. Kubricki began as an assistant principal at Madison County High School on July 1, 2023 after serving as an elementary principal and middle school assistant principal in Madison County.

Ms. Gail Temple

Ms. Temple has served the students of Madison County in various capacities: elementary teacher, high school English teacher, alternative education administrator, and high school assistant principal. She started her job at MCHS on July 1, 2023, and currently serves as an assistant principal and testing director.

Mr. Tim Tryon

Mr. Tryon joined MCHS as the Athletic Director on July 1, 2022 and is a valuable member of the administrative team. Prior to assuming this role, he worked as a special education teacher, assistant athletic director and coach. In addition to leading the athletic programs at MCHS, Mr. Tryon also serves on state-level committees and holds leadership positions at the regional and district levels.
