The Madison County Public School Board does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability in the employment or provision of services. It is the policy of the Madison County Public School Board to provide a free appropriate public education to each disabled student within its jurisdiction, regardless of the nature or severity of the disability.
It is the intent of the School Board to ensure that students who are disabled within the definition of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 are identified, evaluated and provided with appropriate educational services. Students may be disabled under this policy even though they do not require services pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Coordinator of Section 504 is Jeanette Alexander, Supervisor of Student Services, 60 School Board Court, Madison, Virginia, (540) 948-3780.
